CEO Floyd Sherman commented: "Housing demand remains weak due to the struggling economy, high unemployment, and the limited availability of mortgage financing. Though these conditions persist, we are still optimistic about the long-term outlook of our industry, due largely to the increasing disparity between the current low level of housing starts and the on-going housing demand being created by current demographic trends. Due to the dedicated efforts of our employees, we continue to gain market share and improve our results despite the challenging economic conditions we face, and for their efforts, I am sincerely appreciative." | |
