Internet Initiative Japan announced that IIJ's new "Mitaka Data Center" will be operational on Oct. 1. The Mitaka Data Center is IIJ's seventh data center in Tokyo. Recently, many client's have developed a need for dedicated racks to house servers and network equipments in order to connect servers provided as part of IIJ's cloud service, IIJ GIO, and the client's network. To meet this demand, we have established the Mitaka Data Center, which is accessible from central Tokyo, and to service IIJ GIO customers by providing low-cost dedicated rack space and Internet connections. This data center delivers more electric power per rack than conventional data center buildings, which enables each rack to carry almost double the equipment load. | |
